  2. What is an idiom? • an expression whose meaning is not predictable from the usual meanings of its constituent elements. • E.g. – Kick the bucket, hang one’s head.

  3. How many idioms can your table list? • In table groups, brainstorm to create a list of as many idioms as possible.

  4. Learning goal • Students will create an illustration of an idiom in the drawing style of their choice. Students may use graphite only for this assignment. • Students will have five class periods to complete this assignment. • Day two- Rough Draft Due - 10 pts. • Day five- Project Due – 20 pts.
