  9. Tests • Three in class tests – 15  3 = 45 points • Date as scheduled (see syllabus - schedule) • Close-book tests to check your understanding of the fundamental concepts • No make-up tests without legitimate reasons

  10. IS News Presentation • 15-20 minutes presentation on the recent technology news (5 points) • Sing-up next class meeting • Schedules are available (see signup sheet from the website) • Guidelines available from website • Guideline File • Sample Presentation Slides from Previous Students

Blog • Blog is the recent trend of expressing your views (10 points) • Why we use blog? • Free-style, no fixed topics, length requirement, as long as you have a point of view • We will talk about blog phenomenon next time. • See what to blog: links of previous blogs • You need to get ready to blog by acquiring an email account. • “Who’s your favorite blogger” competition. • You can still get 10 points even if you don’t win. • Details see syllabus

Group Project • Team will be assigned by the instructor • See how the project is graded from the syllabus • Peer evaluation is used to insure equal contribution • Suggested topics: see Appendix of the syllabus • Important Dates: • Sep 13: Team assigned • Oct 9: Project outline due • Dec 4, 6: Team Project Presentation • Dec 10: Final draft + peer evaluation due.
