Internet Governess Internet Governess applies to activities as diverse as the coordination of technical standards, the operation of critical infrastructure, development, regulation, legislation, and more. EdX EdX is a group of free courses offered by MIT and Yale. The purpose is to offer free education to those willing to learn. IP addresses are managed by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA).

Routing Autonomous Systems (ASNs) Routing Autonomous Systems (ASNs) is the way groups of IP addresses connect to the internet. It is very regulated and controlled.
Societal Topics Weeks 11, 12, and 13 Boarder Gateway Protocol The Boarder Gateway Protocol is how routing decisions are made so that the internet runs more smoothly and efficiently. Privacy Privacy is a big concern for internet users going forward. Any transaction or conversation thought to be private may become easier and easier to access. Steps need to be made to keep people conversations private. Spam Spam are mass messages aimed at as many people as possible, often with sinister intentions. They clog up networks and bandwidth, even though people are trying to stop it. MOOC Massive online open classes (MOOC) are great tools for large groups of people to lean at little to no cost. Security Keeping people secure is the number one concern of the internet society. Viruses, scams, and spam need to be stopped. Standardization Standardization is the key to getting countless different machines to work together to form a single network.
