3. The Home Use Program is a Software Assurance benefit, available as part of Microsoft’s Volume Licensing programs. Through this offering, you can provide licensed employees access to a copy of Microsoft® Office Professional Plus 2010 and other applications to install and use on a home computer during the term of your Software Assurance coverage. 22. Why isn’t Microsoft offering the physical-only bulk order option? The premise of the existing physical bulk order process for the Home Use Program was to solve for shipping and customs frictions. The migration to download has largely solved this issue. Backup media is available to order but this no longer includes the key to activate the program. Why can’t I order MAC Office 2011? The Home Use Program is to be installed on one device plus one mobile device, therefore it is not possible to order both the PC and the MAC version. Some customers opted to purchase Office 2010 and transferred from MAC 2008, however this does mean they are no longer eligible to purchase MAC 2011. What if our employees don’t have broadband at home? Bulk orders of back-up media is available. All employees will be able to add back-up media during the redemption process. Host the download internally on your network for employees to download to their own devices. Why are Visio and Project not included in Digital Bulk Order? Given the low volume of those products and not all customers qualify , they are not supported options. Do I have to purchase licenses for specific languages? No, your purchase is language agnostic. Once a purchase has been made, your employees will choose the language that is appropriate for them. If a DBO of Office Enterprise 2007 is placed, will that product available to redeem on the store? Yes, Office Enterprise 2007 will display on the store after an employee is validated and product keys are still available for the order. Office 2007 will continue to be available for existing DBOs until further notice. FAQ
