  4. What’s HUP? The Home Use Program (HUP) is a benefit of our new Campus Agreement (EES) with Microsoft. This cost-effective benefit offers you, as a College of Charleston employee: access to a copy of either Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 or Office 2011 for Mac – not both other applications such as Project and Visio to use on a home computer or laptop WHAT’S HUP?

You can use the *same Microsoft Office software at home that you use at the office, which can help boost your productivity, improve your skills and enhance job satisfactionand save a ton of cash vs. a purchasing retail copy. But Office 2013 is coming to campus sometime this year.

  19. FAQs Yes, employees have upgrade rights, but will still have to pay the $9.95 program fee. Employees can upgrade to either Office 2013 or Office 2011 for Mac – not both. Where can I find terms for the program? Why can’t I have both Office 2013 and Office 2011 for Mac? • From your Benefit Administrator • Link on the home page of the HUP website • Link on the Order Confirmation page during the purchase process I have Office 2010 at work. Can I get Office 2010 for home? Can I purchase Office 2013 or Mac 2011 if I purchased Office 2010 or Mac 2008? I have Office 2010 at work. Can I get upgraded to Office 2013? The Campus Software Assurance benefit only allows qualifying employees to acquire one Office product (Office Professional Plus 2013 or Office 2011 for Mac) for use on their home computers. IT is a planning an upgrade to Office 2013 by the end of this year. Will my IT department support me at home? The College of Charleston Helpdesk cannot provide support for your home machine. Microsoft provides free 90-day software support (from activation) for employees. No, only the latest versions are available. FAQs
