Transition • A change in status from behaving primarily as a student to assuming emergent adult roles in the community • Plan should be made before age 14
Outcomes of LD • Same academic and social problems continue into adulthood • May change their form slightly, but for the most part, LD is a lifelong condition • Related with major phases in life: • High DO rates • Higher underemployment below their skills • Greater Dependency to others
