St. Joseph County Broadband Technology Initiative March 6, 2003 Initiative Brief Primary Initiative: To further develop the local and regional technological connectivity of St. Joseph County in order to better economically and efficiently serve it’s existing and potential broadband users. Initiative Stages I. Assessment of assets and determination of a primary need. II. Aggregation of community needs through the formation of an advisory group. III. Construction of Hypothetical Technical Design by the advisory group. IV. Feasibility of concept with involved entities. V. Formulation of needed relationships to ensure a successful deployment in a timely manner with right characteristics for sustained longevity. VI. Final acceptance of financial, technical and functional design. VII. Deployment.
