Victim • Jeremy Freiling 2348 Escapade Road Sarasota, Fl 34235 • Laboratory Technician at MCC • Twenty year old Caucasian male • Type A+ blood • Height 6’2” • Weight 160 lbs • Bullets entered his lower right leg and back and exited body in the lower neck. • Body was 82.1o when found.
The victim was working late on 07/09/07. The suspect saw the victim working at the incubator and wanted something out of it. He then attacked the victim and there was a brawl that caused the bruises and contusions on his head. The victim then tried to flee but the suspect shot the victim in the back of the leg to slow him down. Then the suspect shot the victim in the back and fled with the substance and discarded the gun in the bushes when he left. Narrative

Evidence • 9mm bullet casing in sink and another 9mm bullet casing on the floor. • Fingerprints on right and left sides of the glass above the handles on the fume hood. • O- blood splatter on the floor near rear sink. • Clothing pins sprawled on counter and ground near rear sink. • Trail of blood and Crystal Violet leading to a tissue box with blood on it.
Evidence Continued • Dead body lying on the floor. • Hand print on door window. • Blood under victim’s fingernails. • Blue fibers on cabinet near sink. • Test tube rack found in incubator with a missing vile. • Hair on table and floor. • Matching shoe prints in the sand and in the blood.
Evidence Against: Bradley Sarchet • Matching fiber from his jacket with fiber found in the crime scene. • Shoe size matches size of the shoe found in the bushes. • The shoe matches the shoe prints at the crime scene. • Name of brand he normally/likes to wear is the same as the one found on the bushes. • The matching prints in the sand are heading towards Bradley's office.
Agarose Gel • The gel shows that Bradley's DNA matches the DNA found at the crime scene. Marker DNA found at the crime scene Bradley’s DNA
Shoe Prints • Shoe found in the bushes and cast of a foot print found out side. • Shoe print made of blood in the crime scene. • Shoes found in the bushes were Asics. In our interview with Bradley he said he always wears Asics when working in the lab.
Fibers Fibers from Bradley’s jacket. Fibers found at the crime scene.
Fingerprints • This fingerprint was found at the crime scene and matches Bradley’s left middle finger.
The Crime • Bradley Sarchet is charged with: • Second degree murder: is a non-premeditated killing, resulting from an assault in which death of the victim was a distinct possibility • Larceny: the crime of taking the goods of another person without permission, with the intent of keeping them.
