The presence of hardware does not interfere with the assessment of the surrounding soft tissues. • Findings: Patient felt acute onset of pain and a mass on the back of his thigh . Longitudinal extended field of view image of the quadriceps tendon (yellow arrows). The metal component (fc) of the femur (thin arrow) impinges the deep surface of the quadriceps tendon. Fluid and debris (*) is present in the joint. A thin split (arrow head) is present in the quadriceps tendon. P= patella • Treatment: Physical Therapy Slide 1 of 1
