The Core Team • Lydia M. Naylor, Manager User Experience • Managing Pilot program, related training & feedback • Peter Picone, FSGBU, Director of User Experience • Managing UX group interactions, MIX forum, etc. • Shannon Sieber, Sr. Principal User Experience Designer • Coordinating logistics: check ins, review sessions, etc. • Rahul Dhide, Principal User Interaction Designer • Ashish Tibrewal, Principal User Interaction Designer
Project Concept: Fusion GPS Externalization Pilot • Problem/Opportunity • Externalize our patterns and guidelines so that customers can use them when extending their Oracle products or partnering with Oracle on development • Before we do this we need to understand • How customers will use them • How useful they are to customers • What they will need to be successful • What we would have to provide to make this work • Solution • Run a pilot with customers who are in the process of extending their Oracle products
Fusion GPS Pilot: Research Objectives • What is the environment in which the patterns/guidelines will be used? • NAB’s design + development process, project goals, user roles • What patterns/guidelines do you use? • How do you use them? • How useful are they? • UX Team’s feedback • Our assessment of design • End user feedback on design • What do you need to be successful? • What information is missing? • What type of training/support do you need to use the information? • Would additional design or usability support be useful? • What do we need to provide to make this work?
Fusion GPS Pilot: Research Project Scope • Support one NAB Design Project • Representing a mix of R2B & R3 design efforts • Timing • Start: March 1st, 2011 • End of data collection: determined by quality/quantity of data collected • What we will provide NAB • External secured pilot site of Fusion GPS (guidelines, patterns, and standards) • GPS forum and support • GPS training • What we will not provide • Direct design support to the project
