Searching the BIBFRAME Database • Unit 3 in the BIBFRAME Manual • Searching directly in the BIBFRAME Database is much more robust than searching in the Editor because there are more search options: • Everything (keyword) • Title • Author/Creator • Subject • In addition, more data is displayed in a BIBFRAME Database search result

Searching the BIBFRAME Database: Results • Searching the BIBFRAME Database is the ideal way to determine if a description exists for a resource you have in hand • But search results can be erratic at times – remember that work is constantly being done to refine the BIBFRAME Database, so what you see one day may not be the same thing you see another day • Stability is much better now than in the past • Refinements are ongoing • Participant feed-back is essential
