The Three Major Objectives of Sport (continues) Recreational Versus Competitive Sport Programs • Recreational sport emphasises fun, learning & participation by all • Competitive sport emphasises winning, performance, and participation by the best • Problems arise when there is incompatibility between programme objective and coaches objectives • Administrators ,players, and parents’ objectives may be incompatible with the programme objectives
