Each year, IESI and WSI recycle the equivalent of nearly five million trees. We offerpaper fiber, and cardboard recycling services to customers through our 32 recycling operations. We further incorporate recycling methods throughout our 29 landfill facilities. Our innovative liner designs have allowed us to replace natural stone material with tire chips as a drainage layer in one of our landfills. This design modification preserves a natural resource and helps account for the beneficial reuse of more than two million tires each year. We are also able to beneficially use other materials within our landfill operations to conserve thousands of tons of capacity for waste materials. Confidential
