We expect our girls to strive for and maintain personal integrity, academic success, and dance excellence. Being a part of a team is one of the most incredible experiences of high school and is a wonderful opportunity for leadership, character and relationship building.
Year in Review—Celebrities & Emeralds • Spring • Basketball games • Contest season * Celebs only • Spring Show • Out of State Trip! *Celebs only Summer • iDance Academy @ LHS and summer training at CPHS Fall Semester • Football season • Pep Rallies • iDance Showcase (with all 5 LISD teams) • Fall Show (with CPHS dance classes) • Begin preparing routines for contest season *Celebs only • Tryouts for next school year
Average Costs--Celebrities Celebrities (Rising Stars) • $500.00 for apparel due at January Booster Meeting • $500.00 for apparel due at February Booster Meeting • Balance of apparel due at April Booster Meeting • $175 due(Booster Club Membership) at May Booster Meeting • $150 Summer Line Camp Fee Registration –due June 2, 2014 • Celebrities (Returning Members & 2014-2015 Managers) • $500.00 for apparel due at January Booster Meeting • Balance of apparel due at April Booster meeting • $175 due (Booster Club Membership) at May Booster Meeting • $150 Summer Line Camp Fee Registration – due June 2, 2014 • Additional Fee for Officers for Officer Camp due in May
Average Costs-Emeralds • Emeralds • $500.00 for apparel due at January Booster Meeting • $30.00 Associate membership dues and balance of apparel due at April Booster Meeting • $150 Summer Line Camp Fee Registration – due June 2, 2014
Applications due November 14th • Visit Ms. Danielson’s teacher website (via CPHS website) to complete application • Make sure you have reviewed the Handbook online with your dancer and family members to make sure that being a part of Celebrities/Emeralds is right for your dancer (you must offer your electronic signature on this page on the website)
Tryout Clinic • November 14, 18, 19 in the CPHS Dance Studio from 4:30-5:45 PM • Attendance is mandatory at all 3 days of clinic in order to try out • What to wear? All black & jazz shoes (black or tan) or foot paws, hair secured in ponytail or bun, no jewelry • Bring copy of most recent report card and 4x6 picture to clinic • Girls will learn tryout combinations, including: • Turns & leaps • Kicks • Jazz technique • Hip-Hop technique
Day of Tryouts • When: November 20 • Where: CPHS Dance Studio • What to wear: Black tank top or leotard, black hot shorts, jazz shoes (black or tan) or foot paws, tan tights, hair secured back in ponytail or bun, performance makeup with red lip stick, no jewelry • Dancers will try out in groups of 3 or 4 • Dancers will wear numbers during tryouts • No one is released until after call backs are completed, if necessary • Tryouts closed to public; only people in gym are the judges, directors, tabulator, any Administrator, and Senior Celebrity helpers *Results will be posted on Ms. Danielson’s teacher website (via CPHS website) with the dancers’ numbers listed.
