This presentation provides an overview of the current status of the PolariX-TDS project at DESY, focusing on the preparation for the prototype test with beam. It includes details on the installation and commissioning of the PolariX TDS prototype with electron beam, as well as updates on the project timeline and key components such as waveguides, modulators, and RF stations. Contributions by various team members are highlighted, covering aspects such as the design of the waveguide network, cooling system specifications, LLRF controls, and procurement activities. The presentation also addresses challenges and backup plans related to the assembly of the cavity support system and temperature stability requirements. Additionally, updates on the integration of the layout in CAD and the ongoing RF station orders are discussed, along with the latest progress on simulations and funding updates for the project.

Assembly of the cavity on the support Support, cavity, neighbor waveguides and pumps will be pre-assembled in vacuum lab and then transported to the FLASH tunnel Plan B: temporarily install a support manually adjustable (Gabi) The order of the components for this option has been triggered in parallel Support-Design Plan A: movable support remotely adjustable (EASY support) Problem: delivery time of parts of the moving mechanism is at the edge of the time-plan. News The ATHENA funding has been approved the TDS founding is now available. We have installed the RF-gun (conditioning ongoing), its diagnostics and 2 linac cavities (not yet connected to the RF stations). The procurement of the waveguides and SLEDs will be done in parallel with FLASH. The support of the cavity will be very similar to the one at FLASH (different height beam-line, different direction of the waveguides). The integration of the layout in CAD has just started – not yet available. The order of the RF stations is ongoing. The foreseen location of the modulator has changed. Much work done on the simulations see talk D. Marx. | Status PolariX TDS Project at DESY | Barbara Marchetti
