  4. The Rotary Foundation Grants 2013 / 2014 3310 RY 2013 / 2014 Grants budget 20% for District Grants – Approx US$14k 80% for Global Grants – US$56

  5. Grant application Emphasis is for clubs to carry out projects in our District and to support TRF, therefore, if there are competing applications, priorities will be given to: a) Projects within the District b) Clubs who have contributed to TRF APF during 2010 / 2011 – 2013 /2014

  6. Grant application 2013 / 2014 DISTRICT GRANTS Emphasis is for clubs to carry out projects within District and to support TRF. Priorities will be given to:     a. Projects within District     b. Clubs who have contributed to TRF APF for the past 3 years c. Clubs who contribute to TRF during 2013 / 2014

  7. Grant application 2013 / 2014 Guidelines for District Grants :     a.  Projects - within the District. Capped at RM10,000 (approx US$3218)per project. Club must contribute to the APF amounting to 1/3 of the amount funded. ie club must contribute US$1000 to the APF.     b.  Projects done outside the District, the cap is also RM10,000 but club has to contribute 2/3 of the amount to TRF. c. There is no matching of $ for $ for District Grants. d. Application form- simplified

Global Grant application Guidelines for Global Grants a)  For projects carried out within the District, it will be capped at USD10K with clubs contributing 1/3 to TRF APF b)  For projects carried out outside the District, it will be capped at USD10K with clubs contributing 2/3 to TRF APF Global Grant is matched 100 percent of DDF, and cash is matched at 50 percent from the World Fund.

  11. Global Grant Qualification 2013 / 2014 QUALIFICATION effective 1 July 2013 HOW DOES CLUB GET QUALIFIED? For clubs to become qualified each year, they need to: Agree to the club qualification MOU (the club's President (2013/2014) and President-elect (2014/2015) must sign) Send at least one member to the grant management session Up to date on RI and District dues

  12. Global Grant application Successful Grant Projects to meet the following criteria: Real community needs Frequent partner communication Implementation plan Sustainable Proper stewardship of funds 12

  13. Areas of Focus Peace and conflict prevention/resolution Disease prevention and treatment Water and sanitation Maternal and child health Basic education and literacy Economic and community development

Global Grant application Minimum project budget US$30,000 100% match of DDF 50% match of cash contributions Must have two primary sponsors (club or district) Host partner in the country where the project takes place International partner outside the country Both clubs must be qualified To reach the minimum project budget, the primary sponsors often involved other clubs or districts as additional partners.

Global Grant application 1) Humanitarian Projects – address community needs by providing sustainable, measurable outcomes in the benefiting community. 2) Vocational training teams supported by global grants - must have a humanitarian purpose. - must be aligned with one or more area of focus. - must have at least one Rotarian team leader and 3 non-Rotarian team members. 3) Scholarships fund study by graduates students whose career goals support an area of focus 4) Packaged Grants provide opportunities for Rotary clubs and districts to work with The Rotary Foundation’s strategic partners on pre-designed activities that are funded entirely from the World Fund.

  27. Global Grant Reporting Primary Grant clubs must report on the use of grant funds. Submit all reports through Member Access. Progress reports are due within 12 months of receiving the first grant payment and every 12 months thereafter. Final reports are due within 2 months of project completion. All unused funds should be returned to The Rotary Foundation.
