China Pavilion China Pavilion China Pavilion, with a total floor area of 20,000 m2, features a traditional Chinese style architecture called “oriental crown”, with rich elements of Chinese culture and wisdom.
Expo Boulevard The Expo Boulevard, which links four permanent buildings, the riverside celebration plaza and metro stations, will be both a transportation hub and a sightseeing venue. The construction was finished on January 22, 2010.
Expo Center Covering an area of about 140,000 m2, the Expo Center will be the venue for forums, conferences, VIP reception, grand banquets and Media Center during the Expo. The construction started in June, 2007, and was finished on Dec. 25, 2009.
Theme Pavilions There are three theme pavilions in Pudong to be built from scratch, namely, the Pavilion for Urbanian, the Pavilion for Urban Being and the Pavilion for Urban Planet. The construction started on November 10, 2007, and was finished on Sept. 28, 2009.
Performance Center With a flying saucer structure, the 80,000 m2 Performance Center will host various cultural performances during the Expo period.

Up to now, 224 countries and international organizations and 43 UBPA cases have confirmed participation. On Nov. 13, 2009, the Chinese version of Expo Shanghai Online was launched on a trial basis. The English version was launched on January 1, 2010. Expo Shanghai Online
