    2. We Need Dedication News station in Atlanta whose ad was: “Dedicated, Determined, Dependable” That word dedication means something to us today Employers want employees who will be dedicated to their jobs and making the company better

    3. We Need Dedication We want to hire people who are going to be dedicated to doing jobs for us Teams want dedicated fans to cheer them on Fans want teams that are dedicated to winning and performing well We demand dedication!

    4. We Need Dedication God demands dedication too! After all, it was Jesus who told us that we are to take up our crosses daily and follow Him (Lk. 9:23) Certainly our Lord is an example to us when it comes to dedication What about Paul?

    5. Example - Paul Paul was about as dedicated as they come He knew firsthand what would be expected of him and what he might have to suffer II Cor. 11:24-28 Would Paul have suffered through those things if he were not dedicated?

    6. Essentials For Dedication 1. Motivation We all need motivation in life, something to drive us towards our goals Jesus was motivated while here doing God’s work Jn. 9:4 – “I must work the works of Him that sent Me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.”

    7. Essentials For Dedication 1. Motivation Jesus was motivated by love – Matt. 9:36; 23:37 Jesus was motivated by the message He proclaimed – Jn. 8:32 We too need to be motivated by our love and by the message – Matt. 22:36-40; Rom. 1:16

    8. Essentials For Dedication 2. Enthusiasm Word means – “God within us” The early Christians served with enthusiasm God wants us to be zealous Ecc. 9:10 – “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might”

    9. Essentials For Dedication 2. Enthusiasm Titus 2:11-14 – “zealous for good works” That’s the kind of people that Christ died to make us It matters how the world perceives us…they need to see enthusiasm, not apathy or indifference

    10. Essentials For Dedication 3. Loyalty Obviously, if we are going to be dedicated to something we must be loyal to it as well The two should be inseparable Word means steadfast or reliable Acts 4:34-35 – Acts of loyalty to God’s kingdom and His people

    11. Essentials For Dedication 3. Loyalty There were acts of loyalty described in Heb. 11:36-40 Many in the early days died for the very cause of Christ If we are going to be dedicated, we must be loyal to Christ and His cause

    12. Essentials For Dedication It’s certainly going to take a lot of work and dedication to get to heaven The Bible teaches over and over about overcoming and being faithful in the end All of this takes dedication on our part to the Lord and what He expects from us
