Data Walls…A Look Across the District As you come in, please record your identified Trouble TEKS by Reporting Category in the appropriate grade level. • If the TEKS is already listed, simply put a check mark and write down your campus initials on check mark • If the TEKS is not listed, please add it to the list SCE 3.13A

  3. Group Analysis Set Up • Nowwewill divide ourselvesinto 3 grade levelgroups: Clusters 1 & 2: Grade 3 Clusters 3 & 4: Grade 4 Clusters 5 & 6: Grade 5 Cluster 7: OneTrouble TEKS from 4th and 5th • Take the RC Posters from the data wall and as a grade level group, decide what two TEKS each group will analyze based on the degree of need shown by the most “popped” TEKS across the district.

Trouble TEKS Analysis: Part 1 • Using the Analysis graphic organizer, the TEKS, the STAAR Blueprint, and the released test, delve into the TEKS and those relating questions on the STAAR and look for any ahas… • Why do you think this TEKS is one of our Trouble TEKS? • Looking at the released STAAR, what were the other answer choice chosen…and what does that tell us about our students’ misconceptions? • Do you notice any patterns? • What do you think are the instructional needs?

  5. Trouble TEKS Analysis: Part 1 Part 1 Look at each of the TEKS...How is it assessed? Any ahas? What are the student misconceptions? Gaps in understanding? Instruction? Please explain... Trouble TEKS Instructional Needs Trouble TEKS Reporting Category ___ Student Needs: What skills do they lack? Experience? Teacher Needs: What areas of Tier I instruction do they need assistance with? Resources? Support?

  6. Trouble TEKS Analysis: Part 2 Now that we have some initial ideas as to what some of our instructional needs may be, we need to dig deeper within the concepts and student understanding. Pull out this doc.
