PROJECT: LOW CARBON CITY FRAMEWORK (LCCF)REPORTING PERIOD : 1/8/2013 – 31/8/2013 Project Brief/Summary • The LCCF project was initiated to encourage green townships and support the government policy in reducing 40% of carbon emission per GDP per capita by the year 2020 (baseline 2005). • The framework and assessment system was launched in September 2011. Objectives • To develop and recognize at least five (5) cities certified as Low Carbon City or Green City in Malaysia by the year 2014. • Project Fund: RM 1,814,554 • Duration: 1 Jan 2013 – 31 Dec 2013 • Expected Outcomes • Baseline Study for 4 Pilot Projects to be completed with provisional certificate • 3 Advance Training sessions completed • BCiSPhase 2 completed • 1 Train the Trainers session completed • 2 Roadshows conducted • 4 Energy & Water Consumption Reduction Training Conducted • Status • Data collection and analysis in progress at all 4 pilot sites (50% completed) • 1 Advance Training session completed • BCiSPhase 2 55% completed. • Training session planned in Q4 • 1 roadshow conducted • 2Energy & Water Consumption Reduction Training Conducted

PROJECT: LOW CARBON CITY FRAMEWORK (LCCF)REPORTING PERIOD : 1/8/2013 – 31/8/2013 Activities Completed (During reporting period) • Data collection and analysis in progress at all 4 pilot sites (26-30 aug) (50% completed) • Preparations for Advance Training, Train the Trainers (TTT), and 10% Energy & Water reduction training sessions [training materials, contract for trainers] (20% completed) • BCiS Phase 2 development (55% completed) • Review of framework and assessment system (20% completed) • Discussion with Cyberview(26 Aug) % completed: 50% % funds utilised: 45% • Activities Planned (For next reporting period) • Continue with engagement, data collection, and analysis at all 4 pilot sites (23-27 sep) • Continue with engagement with potential strategic partners, MoU with MBPJ (23-27 sep) • Finalise reports for Cyberjaya and TasikKenyir(16-20 sep) • Preparations for Advance Training, Train the Trainers (TTT), and 10% Energy & Water reduction training sessions [training materials, contract for trainers] (target November 2013) • Continue with BCiSPhase 2 development (target December 2013) • Preparations for Roadshow (target November 2013) • Continue development and improvement of framework; engagement session with GBI, REHDA, JKR, and CIDB (16-20 sep) • Continue development and improvement of calculator (9-13 sep)
