Objective: • Engage students, alumni, employees, donors and the public in a celebration of our history and impact on the community • Leverage the spotlight to attract more advocates to the college’s mission
Design Principles: • The 50th Anniversary Commemoration will “feel like Valencia” and be an authentic representation of who we are as a college and a community. • The 50th Anniversary Commemoration will celebrate our rich history, identify and honor our community impact, and inspire our future. • The 50th Anniversary Commemoration will add value to our community, students, and employees by creating events, activities, and publications that amplify our college mission, vision and values. • The 50th Anniversary Commemoration will result in deeper relationships with students, employees, and the community which will lead to greater investment of those stakeholder groups in the work of the college. • The celebration activities, events, etc. will reflect thoughtful stewardship of time, space, and money.

Budget Overview: • Plan incorporates existing events and marketing materials that can be tied into the 50th anniversary theme with no additional dollars spent • Incorporated in the budget are funds for campus-based celebrations • Proposed budget investment for new tactics: $292,038
