Zonta International (ZI) dues Renewal notices • sent to Clubs electronically • March 2014 • Forms A, B, and C • Form C – Non-North American/Non-European
Zonta International (ZI) dues Must be received by ZI by 1 June 2014 • Best to pay 2 weeks earlier i.e. by 16 May • More economical to pay for all members at one time • ZI require proof of payment, Form B, Form C Methods of payment • Cheque • Wire Transfer • Credit Card – Visa , Mastercard
District 22 Dues Dues $35 • invoices and Membership lists to Clubs by end March 2014 • dues payable by 31 May 2014 Methods of Payment • Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) • bank Club cheque into D22 Account • post cheque to Treasurer

Insurance Public Liability Policy • covers all Zonta Clubs in District 22 for all activities without notification to QBE, except • notifiable events (5) where Zonta is directly • in control of the service of alcohol • in control of contractors e.g. bouncers, crowd control, traffic control staff • events involving animals • events involving amusement rides • events with more than 200 patrons
Insurance (cont) Voluntary Workers’ Policy • covers non Medicare medical expenses • weekly benefit loss of income $500 • capital benefit • $50,000 18 – 80 Years • $10,000 under 18 years and over 80 years Certificates of Currency available on Zonta District 22 Website
Event Planning • establish an Event Committee • plan early • be realistic - small and manageable • set a budget • book venue, permits • contingency plan for bad weather • Risk Management Plan
Event Risk Management • risks rated on likeliness to result in a claim • animals/alcohol/rides/sport events/large number of people increases the risk • analyse event with critical eye • duty of care to Zontians and public • ensure contractors have own liability Our responsibility to access the risks, take action to mitigate the risks to prevent harm or damage
Risk management workshop • Groups of six • Member from each club in each group • Risk assessment of the scenario - identify the risks - actions to mitigate risk • group discussion • Spokesperson from each group speak particular issues raised in their group
