Hranicko is famous as "green" bridge between economic centres with attractive landscape, historical centres, sites and cultural traditions

Economy • large companies acting in long-term tradition processing industries, wide • mechanic industry, • good freight transport connections, • well qualified manpower, stable position of public officials after public • administration reform. • high quality of agricultural products, widespread medium farms • opportunities for summer tourism, nature, cultural, historical, technological sites, • good potential for agri and ecotourism development, folkloristic traditions, • potential for renewable energy: wind, woods, experience in biomassproduction, • planned construction of motorway D47, good road network • regional integrated traffic system, good public transport system Socio-culture • variety of professional schools (specialisation for math, IT technologies, languages) • headquarter of the Czech association of private schools in Hranice city • efficient health infrastructures (hospital and secondary medical school), • low growth of birth rate, lower percentage of divorce, average age lower compared to • Cz rate Environ-ment • well-established waste management, • subterranean mineral water in Teplicko, • nature reserves, rich water resources • reduction of intensive agricultural land use Strengths
