We recognize the need for employment within Clearview
The Walker application in combination with the MAQ application will triple the adverse effects.
3. Planning Authorities There are a number of planning documents that Council will have to consider before they decide whether or not to approve Walker’s applications.
There are statements that can be interpreted as supporting the Walker application, but the planning documents contain many statements.
That oppose, or,
at the very least, there are statements that should encourage Council to support a significant reduction in the scope of this proposal.
4. Provincial Policy Statement “Provides for appropriate development while protecting resources of provincial interest, ..”
“Natural heritage features and areas shall be protected for long term use” 2.1 The Niagara Escarpment a World Biosphere Reserve, is part of Clearview’s natural heritage

12. Truck Haul Route Noise To evaluate haul route noise for quarries the guidelines for landfill sites are typically used.
This is an application for a new quarry. A peer review of the analysis of the noise on the haul route has not been done.
Use of engine brakes, deemed necessary for a safe descent, is incompatible with the right of residents to use and enjoy their properties.
