What does an SDT graduate work with? • System Development, Programming, Testing, IT-Consultuancy, Research (Ph.D’s), • Databases, you name it… • Average pay: Around 30.000 – 32.000 a month kr for all ITU graduates • (BEFORE TAXES!! The Danish state takes around 50%) • Job Market: Currently it is “easier” for ITU graduates • There is a survey of what ITU graduates are doing and what they are earning from • 2008 at http://www1.itu.dk/sw111318.asp
Keynumbers from the survey (cand. It) • 96% is working (98% for Software) • The salary (majority) • 350.001-400.000 kroner a year (25%) • 400.001-450.000 kroner a year (21%) • Over 500.000 kroner’ (26%) for the “elder” graduates • Majority around 350.001-400.000 (35%) for the “new” graduates • 15% at 300.000-350.000 kroner a year • 21% at 400.001-450.000 kroner a year • Around 50% were employed before finishing their studies • Around 75% were employed 3 months after finishing their degrees • 80% had a student job • 60% say it was related to their studies • 72% did a project and/or thesis in cooperation with a company
