  1. Mission Hospital Executives’ Club (HEC) was founded in 1958 to promote collegial, educational and social interactions among hospital administrators

  2. Founder: Arthur Stern • HEC was the brainchild of the late Arthur L. Stern, a noted Hospital Administrator and Health Care Consultant. Stern, along with Henry Karpe, Daniel Fruchter, Harold Schneider and George Miller, founded HEC • Stern envisioned HEC as a forum for hospital administrators to assist each other in problem solving, with the aim of delivering high quality health care to patients in their facilities

Certain HEC members suddenly found themselves out of work. Members of the club created a team to update resumes and improve interviewing skills

  9. The Future of HEC While true to its mission for nearly 50 years, the HEC continues to evolve while maintaining the highest quality and ethical standards Did You Know? Of HEC’s current members, 27 have been club members for over 30 years with 4 members belonging the entire 48 years
