TH INSTITUTE OF CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS OF NIGERIA (Established by act of parliament no. 15 of 1965) REQUEST FOR PRACTICE REVIEWERS The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) is continuously carrying out Practice Monitoring of Audit firms and hereby request for applications from qualified members to effectively carry out the exercise in different parts of the Country. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Practice reviewers visit audit firms to examine the records of their work and to confirm whether they conform to the Nigerian Standards on Auditing (NSAs) and Nigerian Standard on Quality Control 1 (NSQC 1). Practice reviewers also check whether or not the firms comply with other criteria put in place by the Institute to ensure that the work of its members conform to globally accepted Standards. They submit report of their obervations and comments to the Institute QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE Applicants must be members of the Institute. Must have had at least 5 years of audit experience in an audit firm. Experience in Peer review exercise will be an added advantage.
