  2. Objectives • To create employment for rural youth • To provide right information at right time to farmers • To bridge the gap between lab to land

  3. INTRODUCTION • The forming is short period irreversible production system • The farmers are always lack of information at right time • The right information at right time play a vital role in farming • There is huge GAP in LAB to LAND

Considering these points we developed a concept called RAICE to reach at root level THECONCEPT • There is a RAICE center at a village from that we can reach surrounding small villages • The formers , farmer group, SHG etc. of concerned villages report their problems offarming • The RAICE representatives may provide solution at spot if they have information or thy provide later getting information from SOURCE • The RAICE keeps records of problems reported and solution given for every season • The RAICE representatives act as consultants, field facilitators as and when needed

Duties of RAICE staff RAICE Expert Support to RAICE expert Sample collection Demonstration of new technologies Helping farmers wile major farming operations Feed back collection • Collect, record and processing of problems from farmer/s, farmer’s group, or SHG • Provide need based timely solutions for recorded problems • Provide information about Government Schemas, Facilities and procedure to claim • He should act as BRIDGE between farmers and SOURCE • Supporting to Govt. officials of SAD’s, KVK and extension officers whenever needed • He is manager of the RAICE center Farm Facilitator

Benefits of RAICE To farmers • It helps in timely problem solving of farmers • Helps in adaption of desirable technologies in farming • Reduces loss due to Pest and Diseases by providing timely information of Pest and Diseases management • Reduces the cost of cultivation by helping farmers to effective use of agro-inputs • Helps to know the Govt. facilities,
