Arsenic is a solid, liquid, and a gas! • It’s a solid because it is used in cell phones, wood, copper, watches, clocks, calculates, and batteries. • It’s a liquid because its in water, and muscle milk. • It’s a gas because it is used in solar c ells, rat poison, and its in the gases in the LED lights above your heads!

  4. Metal, Metalloid, or Nonmetal? Arsenic is a metalloid. A metalloid is an element found along a stair-step line that distinguishes metals from non metals. Some of the metalloids such as Silicon and Germanium, are semi-conductors. This means that they can carry an electrical charge under special conditions.
