Culturally Competent Teacher • This bulletin board image may motivate the foreign exchange student and the African American students to study and research famous artists and their work so that they can one day become artists as well. • These images serve as role models because they were once students who had dreams of becoming artists and they made their dreams reality. This includes one African American Artist and one Chinese Artist. • These artists will not only be influential to the African American and foreign exchange students, but also help them to feel proud because these artists are very popular and well known. • Due to the success and popularity of these artists, it will benefit in helping these students feel comfortable and accepted inside and outside of the classroom.
