9. SiteMaster Building 4.0 Set Up … Units During the use of Sitemaster 2 and 3, the development of Sitemaster 4 and CAD in general. We have experienced problems of scale and units and layering compatibility. In Sitemaster 4 we have addressed these and our programmers have given us some superb answers. These answers give us initial setup capability and ‘on the fly’ changeability. Setups can now be saved on a client by client basis.

10. SiteMaster Building 4.0 Set Up … Units We now have options to set the units to be used metric, millimeter or imperial (mm, m or ft-inch). Previously we had to uninstall and re-install the program to do this.

11. SiteMaster Building 4.0 Layer Set Up To make matching a clients layer system easier, we have introduced the ‘PICK’ option in the SM Layers module. Simply select the Sitemaster layer name…select the ‘pick’ option then select an object from the clients drawing…Sitemaster copies the properties into the layer manager…name, colour, linetype.

12. SiteMaster Building 4.0 Layer Set Up Once all the layers have been setup simply use the new ‘Manage’ option to save the layer setup… use the clients name if you want.

13. SiteMaster Building 4.0 Tool Bar Configuration User configuration of the icons can now be done. Simply hold the ALT key down, select the icon to be copied and drag it to where you want it. We have even included ALL the menus from the Sitemaster system….any icon….anywhere. With the right setup you could be working twice as fast.

14. SiteMaster Building 4.0 Stair Commands NEW Staircase module… Select a wall that the Staircase is fixed to…fill in the dialogue box’s….add the width, no of risers and landing size

16. SiteMaster Building 4.0 Door Swing Type Door Type options….. New options for different types of door swing have been added to the drop down menus while creating doors. All line information is drawn automatically depending on the type of door swing selected. Detail is specific to the size of opening entered.

17. SiteMaster Building 4.0 Symbols Symbol library enhancements…. Now when selecting symbols, we have the option to view the library 16 tiles at a time

18. SiteMaster Building 4.0 Symbol library generation Creating libraries….. Now we can add a new library to Sitemaster from a folder of .flx or .dwg drawings. Sitemaster creates all the necessary files and folder for us to view and place the symbols.

20. SiteMaster Building 4.0 Multiple Offset Enhanced Offset tool… Not only can we use the Offset tool in conjunction with the Disto… we can now specify how many offsets are required…. And also now select which layer we want the new objects to go on Was going to be useful for Stairs…but now we have the stair module.

21. SiteMaster Building 4.0 Edit Commands…T Correct New T Correct tool… New to the ‘Edit’ menu… T Correct allows us to change multiple text properties on varied sizes etc of text. Also allows us to use Sitemasters ‘Search and Replace’ capability… replacing one string of text with another… Change ‘text’ to ‘high’ in the example shown.

22. SiteMaster Building 4.0 Edit Commands…T Correct New ‘Copy Properties’… New to the ‘Edit’ menu… ‘Copy prop.’ Allows us to copy the properties of one object onto one or multiple objects.

23. SiteMaster Building 4.0 Camera Symbol… Camera symbols updated… We have updated the appearance of the ‘Camera’ symbol and added the new ‘Target’ symbol. We have also added the ‘CAMERA ID:’ number…this allows you to type in the number of the image in the camera ….allows much simplified linking once the images are on the computer.

Requests from users have been listened to and implemented to make the use of Sitemaster more efficient and easier to use. Our programmers have integrated requested options and given us more. Newer hardware has been catered for and will continue to be catered for.

Towards the end of Next year we should be releasing Sitemaster 5 based on an even more powerful CAD engine. This will be available for download for anyone with a Software Support contract or ‘ServiceCARD’ …FREE (as is the 4.1 now)
