Activities Proposed • Concept Paper on what Constitute R & D for SPMCIL- (Annexure-I) • Concept paper on main Objectives of Corporate R&D Centre -(Annexure-II) • In-House R & D Recoganisation of DSIR - (Annexure-III) • Details of expenditure Incurred on R & D Centre / Activities/ - (Annexure-IV) • Proposed R & D Projects / Activities/ Illustrative list - (Annexure-V) • General Information needed for R&D Activities- (Annexure-VI) • Training Programmers / Inter-actions - (Annexure-VII)

Proposed R & D Projects / Activities/ Illustrative list - (Annexure-V) • Environmental protection / waste recycling:- • Waste reduction / treatment, such as effluents, air-pollution reduction metallurgical waste, packaging waste, etc. • Shredded notes utilization for making laminated blocks etc. • You may also consider any specific R & D requirements that would needed for ISO Certifications, more specifically for ISO:1400:ISO:18000,ISO:22000, etc. 2. Energy auditing / Power reduction.

  4. 3. Recycling / re- use of packaging materials for currency, security, coins security paper including semi knock – down boxes, shrink plastic packaging. 4. New Materials like: • Paper • Composite paper • New alloys • Indelible ink for election purpose. • New Currency notes of higher denominations (Rs.5,000- etc.)

General Information needed for R & D Activities- (Annexure-VI • Details of existing R & D Project / R & D studies / R & D collaboration projects. • HRD Policy wrt R & D Personnel recruitment / Promotion / training / awards, etc. • IPR Policy if any • Expansion Plans / New Plants. • Major suppliers / Sub- contractors / (their R & D set up). • Transportation / Logistics- Special requirement/ considerations.

  6. Training Programs / Inter- actions – (Annexure-VII) • Module 1 – Idea Generation / Identification of New R & D Projects. • Module 2 – Analysis / Selection of R & D Projects. • Module 3 – Basics of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Patent / Design / Copy right / Trade Marks / Electronic circuit Design registration. • Module 4 – Preparation of R & D proposal for external funding, Joint R& D Project with other R & D Institutions/ Organizations. Note:- Each session would be for a duration of approx. 3 hours followed by Discussions / Interactions.
