  7. Here’s what to do if you see someone who has had too much to drink….

  8. DO… • Try to wake the person. It is dangerous to assume a person will be okay by “sleeping it off.” • Turn the person on his/her side so they do not choke on their vomit if they get sick. • Check his/her skin color and temperature. A sign that you should get help is if the person’s skin is cold and/or clammy and pale. This means they are not getting enough oxygen. • Check the person’s breathing. Make sure it consistent and strong.

  9. Don’t… • Leave the person!!! • Be afraid to get help… remember it is better to be SAFE than SORRY!!!

  10. Here’s what to do if you think your friend drinks too much…

  11. Anyone can suffer from or show signs of ALCOHOLISM… no matter their age, gender, race, faith, economic class or sexual orientation. An ALCOHOLIC is someone who demonstrates a continuous or periodic impaired control over drinking despite the consequences. ALCOHOLISM causes distortions in thinking, most notably denial. The biggest sign of ALCOHOLISM is the inability to stop drinking at any given time based on one’s own will power. ALCOHOLISM is a disease that there is no cure for.
