Introduction • Building blocks to understanding the 2nd coming of Yeshua: Old Testament, two Messiahs, Gospels, Epistles and Revelation • The Day of the LORD – Old Testament • 9 Behold, the day of the LORD is coming, Cruel, with fury and burning anger, To make the land a desolation; And He will exterminate its sinners from it. (Isa. 13:9 NAU) • 3 "For the day is near, Even the day of the LORD is near; It will be a day of clouds, A time of doom for the nations. (Ezek. 30:3 NAU) • 15 Alas for the day! For the day of the LORD is near, And it will come as destruction from the Almighty. (Joel 1:15 NAU) • Be silent before the Lord GOD! For the day of the LORD is near, For the LORD has prepared a sacrifice, He has consecrated His guests. (Zeph. 1:7 NAU)

  3. Two Messiahs • 9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout in triumph, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; He is just and endowed with salvation, Humble, and mounted on a donkey, Even on a colt, the foal of a donkey. (Zech. 9:9 NAU) • DONKEY & COLT  Sages believed this shows TWO Messiahs • Messiah son of Joseph  Yeshua first visit; Spiritual revolution • Messiah son of David  Yeshua second visit; Restore the Kingdom revolution (the New Heaven and New Earth)

The Gospels • 32 "All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; 33 and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left. (Matt. 25:32-33 NAU) – victory over evil • 26 "Then they will see THE SON OF MAN COMING IN CLOUDS with great power and glory. (Mk. 13:26 NAU) – judgment on His return • 8 "I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?" (Lk. 18:8 NAU) – Yeshua will return to look for the faithful • 28 "You heard that I said to you, 'I go away, and I will come to you.' If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because I go to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. 29 "Now I have told you before it happens, so that when it happens, you may believe. (Jn. 14:28-29 NAU) – Simple trust in Yeshua

  5. Epistles • 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until He comes. (1 Cor. 11:26 NAU) • 9 For they themselves report about us what kind of a reception we had with you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God, 10 and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, that is Yeshua, who rescues us from the wrath to come. (1 Thess. 1:9-10 NAU) • 13 looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Yeshua, (Tit. 2:13 NAU) • 16 For we did not follow cleverly devised tales when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Yeshua Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty. (2 Pet. 1:16 NAU) • For the Gentiles conversion from the Mythras cult to Christianity – they believed in a 2nd coming • Second coming can be viewed that one day each of us will meet Yeshua face to face as His original followers did

Revelation • 10 'Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. (Rev. 3:10 NAU) • 12 "Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done. (Rev. 22:12 NAU) • 20 He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming quickly." Amen. Come, Lord Yeshua. (Rev. 22:20 NAU) • Revelation is the detailed account about the 2nd coming of Yeshua. 90+% of Revelation is echoed in the Old Testament

  7. For Us Today • Repetition: “Repent now for the Kingdom of God is near” • When: you should not worry about when but you better ALWAYS be ready • So: If you are not ready, if there is anything outstanding – FIX IT NOW.
