  2. Introduction • Matthew’s Triad • Jesus was itinerant (v. 35) • No leadership (v. 360 • Lack of leadership OR warning against false leaders (v. 37-38)

  3. Sheep Metaphor • Sheep scatter, hard to gather • Sheep panic easily • Sheep will wonder off • From OT  Pagan nations got Israel to follow them. Diaspora

  4. Harvest Metaphor • Parousia • Direct attack on the religious leadership being false leaders • “Gospel leadership” is leadership looking out for the souls, not control or power?

For us Today • Who is your spiritual leader? • Jesus Christ as our spiritual leader • Why do we search for the original meaning of Jesus’ words? • Follow Jesus’ understand of God’s word, which leads to pleasing God, forgiveness, and salvation • Read the Word of God and search for its original meaning, which leads to truth
