3. Building safer neighbourhoods together Priority : Anti Social behaviour St Peters Churchyard, Dunchurch. It was highlighted at the Community Forum that ASB maybe taking place at this location. The SNT will visit the location a minimum of 10 occasions to address the situation. In the last 3 months the location has been visited on 22 separate occasions. The visits were carried out at various times of the day, varying days of the week and by officers from the SNT, other PCSO’s and Specials from Rugby Police Station. On the majority of occasions there were no signs of any ASB whatsoever. Dates and full times of the visits can be obtained from the SNT website. The visits have been welcomed by members of the public walking through the area of the priority. . 01/09/2010

4. Building safer neighbourhoods together Priority : Anti Social behaviour, Stretton-on-Dunsmore. Throughout the last 3 months the areas of Plott Lane and the play area off the Fosse way have been periodically patrolled. Officers, PCSO and Wardens have patrolled the area on 27 separate occasions. There were no specific incidents of ASB and on several occasions, youths have been engaged with in the park area. On one specific occasion, officers found a car door wide open on the car park at Plott Lane and suitably advised the vehicle owner who was playing cricket. Although there have been very few specific incidents of ASB. One in particular was in July whereby several youths were causing ASB in the village. This is currently being investigated by PC Busch and has led to arrests. . 01/09/2010

Building safer neighbourhoods together Ongoing SNT Actions from June 10 • During the recent FIFA World Cup officers paid particular attention to Rural Public Houses to ensure that no serious disorder took place. • In recent months officers have been engaged in several Force operations, notably the Bulldog Bash and Global Gathering. • In August officers from the Rural SNT undertook an alcohol test purchase operation in which several Rural off licences were visited to see which sold to underage youths. Of the 9 that were visited, only 2 actually sold alcohol to the youths taking part in the operation. This resulted in the issue of £80.00 fixed penalty notices to the staff members who served the alcohol. Thankfully Dunchurch BP petrol station DID NOT sell. • As part of the ongoing casualty reduction operation within Warwickshire Police we have been actively patrolling the A423 Oxford Road. Whilst patrolling we are looking for Speeding, traffic offences and general driver education. All to try and reduce casualties on our roads. 01/09/2010

6. Building safer neighbourhoods together Incidents of Note from June 10 • There have been some good news stories, including. Dunchurch service station employee charged with 6 offences in relation to 2 stolen Nectar cards. These offences which occurred at Rugby, Leamington and Banbury, include theft and fraud by false misrepresentation. A Marton male cautioned for a bilking ( making off without payment) relating to his taxi journey from Rugby town centre to Marton. Following his caution the money was paid by him to the taxi driver for his fare. The arrest and charging of a male for Attempt Armed Robbery / Possession of an Imitation Firearm at Dunchurch BP Service Station. The arrest and cautioning of a male for Possession of a Sec 5 Firearm, ( pepper spray ) in Sawbridge. Community Speed Watch is now up and running in Dunchurch under the guidance of the CSW members. 01/09/2010

Building safer neighbourhoods together General Information Warwickshire Police have received the following number of calls from June this year in relation to each specified village below: Number of calls Dunchurch - 90 Calls Willoughby - 27 Calls Grandborough - 10 Calls Leamington Hastings - 4 Calls Broadwell - 1 Calls Birdingbury - 10 Calls Kytes Hardwick - 12 Calls Wolfhamptcote - 0 Calls Stretton-on-Dunsmore - 60 Calls Princethorpe - 22 Calls Marton Bourton - 16 Calls Frankton - 2 Calls Flecknoe - 4 Calls All the calls relate to where the police officer was called to the incident. Calls received at the help desk are allocated accordingly and allocated as either, Immediate (20 mins), Priority(1 hour), Scheduled (24 hrs). 01/09/2010

8. Building safer neighbourhoods together Current Trends In recent times there has been an increase in the theft of Catalytic converters throughout the Rugby and surrounding areas. This has also been linked into the theft of scrap metal, both from farms and residential properties. There have been a few incidents of theft from Draycote Water, including both boats and engines. As part of the continued casualty reduction strategy, it may be worth adopting a particular road to carry out traffic stops, speed checks and general patrol to assist our partners at the road safety unit. The organisation is going through a transition of change at the moment and it is unclear as to how policing will be in the future. However our Chief Constable, Mr Bristow states” “….the public of Warwickshire needs all members of our workforce to deliver their full contribution to delivering protection today and to be helping to shape the delivery of protection tomorrow..” With this in mind we shall still deliver our protection to our communities. 01/09/2010

Building safer neighbourhoods together • Suggested Priorities. • The adoption of the B4429 as our “priority road” to help reduce causalities on the road. • How – regular patrols, stop checks etc monitored by police related taskings. • Measure – Number of patrols by the SNT team. • Reduction in scrap metal thefts / catalytic converters • How – regular patrols of area highlighting any sites / farmland whereby scrap maybe stolen. Stops of vehicles linked to scrap metal merchants • Measure – Number of patrols by the SNT team. • Offer more reassurance to people using Draycote Water • How – more reassurance patrols day and night to prevent thefts • Measure – Number of patrols by the SNT team 01/09/2010
