Beyond SIMSbudgets 2.0 • Clear path of upgrades • Improved cost sharing support • Task-based budgets • Budget sharing • Expanded system-to-system (S2S) support • S2S saves 1-2 hours per proposal • Integrating with commercial system (Cayuse) • All grants.gov opportunities available • Pilot use in Feb/Mar 2011

  7. Task Force on Non-Financial Research Compliance • Chartered by Dr. Foley to address: • IRB • IACUC • Radiation/Biosafety • Clinical Trials • Conflict of Interest • Goal is to identify integrated tool(s) for PSU in the future to address these key areas

  8. Conflict of Interest System (COINS) • Rolled out in June 2010 to COM for annual disclosures • Being rolled out for Univ Park disclosures • Commercial system (Click Commerce)

  9. myResearch Portal • Provide PI’s with real-time, read-only access to key research data: • Pending proposals and active awards (SIMS) • Active protocols (PRAMS) • Active accounts (IBIS) • Pilot release in March 2010 • Summary data only • Positive feedback from PI’s • Version 2 production release • Planned for October 2010 • Drill down on awards and accounts • 2 factor login required (like IBIS)

SIMSreports • Will follow similar process to SIMSbudgets • Assess current and future needs from users (Colleges & OSP) • Significant inputs possible from URC subcommittee on research administration • Prioritize needs • Assess available solutions (build or buy) • Rollout incrementally based on priorities
