What is the Framework? • The Framework is a seven-agency collaborative • Human Services • Healthcare and Family Services • Aging • Children and Family Services • Public Health • Commerce and Economic Opportunity • Employment Security (data sharing) • Goals • Provide governance for the creation of an enterprise approach to healthcare and human services. • Promote a culture of interoperability among Illinois Healthcare and Human Services (HHS) agencies, identify and provide resources and insights toward interoperability • Leverage the federal/state investments in the Health Information Exchange (HIE), the implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) • Integrated Eligibility System (IES) • Health Insurance Marketplace (HIM) • Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) upgrade.
