Circle of Honor • Why have a Circle of Honor program in the first place? • To reward. • To motivate. • To be clear about what your responsibility is. If every single one of you doesn’t leave this weekend believing you can hit your number, then we are making a mistake.
Circle of Honor • Circle of Honor Goals for 2019-2020 • Intake. • - 45 go down. • - 17 go up. • - 1 stays flat. • - 30 at their 5-year average.
Circle of Honor • Circle of Honor Goals for 2019-2020 • Intake. • - 45 go down. • - 17 go up. • - 1 stays flat. • - 30 at their 5-year average. • There is no number 2. • State Deputies attain Circle of Honor by simply hitting their intake goal.
Circle of Honor • Membership Directors are Circle of Honor eligible based on NET. • Net is intake quota minus a 7% reduction in the 5-year losses average. • That’s it! • No NCD. No Net/Net. No % under 40. No reactivations. • Simple. Focused.
Incentives • To be effective, incentives have to motivate. • To motivate, incentives have to be broadcasted widely, and have to incentivize at the lowest possible level. • We struggle designing incentives that motivate nationwide, and we struggle to communicate effectively with a significant enough portion of our local leaders. • So we are out of the incentives business. • We are giving control back to you!
Incentives • States will be able to design their own incentive, and have it paid for by Supreme. • States will need to apply in writing. Applications will be approved by their RGD. • Once approved, states can conduct the incentive, and must track the results. • Once they notify us in writing (with documentation) of the results of the contest, we will pay them.
Incentives • Budget is based on size. • D1s - $7,000 • D2s - $3,000 • D3s - $1,500 • D4s - $1,000 • D5s - $500 • D6s - $500
Divisional Realignments • If incentives are based on divisions, divisional placement needs to be objective. • Effective immediately, divisional placement is based on 5-year intake average, not # of members. Divisions will be re-set ever year.
Divisional Realignments • Changes for the upcoming fraternal year: • Virginia will be moved up to D1. • Georgia will be moved up to D2. • New Mexico will be moved up to D3. • Hawaii and Washington D.C. will be moved up to D5. • Connecticut will drop down to a D3. • North Dakota will drop down to a D4. • Maine would will drop down to a D5. • Vermont will drop down to a D6.
Incentive Bonuses • Jurisdictions will have two opportunities to increase their bonus money. • If a jurisdiction exceeds its previous year charitable dollars and volunteer hours totals by July 15, 2019, their incentive pot will increase by 50%. • One jurisdiction from each division will double their incentive budget by winning the Finish Strong, Start Fast incentive. • The two bonuses are not mutually exclusive, some jurisdictions may end up with a 150% increase in their incentive budget.
Star Councils • The Star Council Per Capita Rebate program will remain in effect for FY2019-2020.
The Weekend Ahead • A time to pray together, celebrate together, and plan together • We’ll draw up battle plans. • We’ll talk about personnel. • We’ll talk about tactics. • We’ll talk about going back to the basics.
The Weekend Ahead • We. Together. • Supreme Council has increased its investment in you. Take advantage of it!
Your Regional Team Supreme Council State Deputy RGD/RTD District Deputy Grand Knight
Your Regional Team Regional Growth Director = Supreme Council State Deputy District Deputy Grand Knight
The Weekend Ahead • Four Key Working Sessions • Regional Meeting • Membership Growth Workshop • Member Experience Workshop • Programs Workshop
The Weekend Ahead • Success isn’t subjective. It’s not a moving target. Define it and track it. • You can’t succeed by yourself. We are in this together. We lead together. We succeed together. Or we fail together. • Your job is not to do every job. You’re not a “Super” grand knight. Your job is to plan, lead and delegate. • It’s OKAY to hold volunteers accountable.
