Talk to Me • In our last lesson we talked about how to start a conversation • Who can remember some of the things we talked about? • Today we are going to talk about using good manners when speaking to others.
Good Manners • It is nice to say please, thankyou, excuse me and sorry when talking to others • It shows you care. • If you do not use these words people might think that you are rude. • They may not feel like doing the thing that you asked for.
Good Manners • When we are asking for something, we should say...... May I have a pencil please? • If someone does something for you, you should say...... Thank you for helping me.
Good Manners • When you need to get someone’s attention, you should say....... Excuse me Mr/Mrs _______ I need some help. • When you accidentally bump into someone you should say...... I’m sorry for bumping into you.
