Agency Partners Second Harvest Food Bank provides food and other assistance to non-profit partner agencies who distribute food to our clients The Food Assistance Program partners with 326 agencies at 715 different agencies in both counties. This includes soup kitchens, pantries, rehabilitation centers, shelters, senior centers and children’s programs 4

  5. Brown Bag Brown Bag provides weekly groceries to seniors (age 60+) and disabled individuals (age 55+). 53 sites in SCC 5

  6. Family Harvest • Family Harvest provides food to over 5,322 low-income families with dependent children each month. • 29 sites in SCC 6

  7. Produce Mobile & Mobile Pantry Produce Mobile • Monthly distribution of fresh fruits and vegetables in low-income neighborhoods. • 33 locations in SCC Mobile Pantry • Monthly distribution of fresh produce and basic staples to geographically isolated communities • 2distributions in SCC 7

  8. Partners In Need (PIN) Partners in Need program is for low-income individuals who choose to volunteer one three-hour shift a week and receive food. Each month, an average of 1,003 households received food through this program. 8

  9. Food Connection Hotline 1-800-984-3663 Provides food referrals to callers within their zip code Operators speak English, Spanish, and Vietnamese 9

CalFresh (Food Stamps) Outreach Outreach staff provides prescreening and application assistance to low income households throughout SCC Staff can also train non-profit organizations for outreach and prescreens to maximize assistance 40% of income eligible people receive CalFresh in SCC A household of 4 can receive up to $668 per month in benefits 10
