  2. New Members • Mark Morvant - Louisiana • J.Michelle Owens – Alabama

  3. Accomplishments • Region II Elected and Installed David Jared (GDOT) as the Vice Chair • Region II had very successful Peer Exchanges in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, West Virginia • Research Manuals have been produced in West Virginia, Mississippi and Georgia

  4. Accomplishments • State of Your “State Research Program” • All attending states reported their research programs are stable and have made positive improvements • Most improvements were made in the project development process • States reported on highly successful research projects in the areas of materials, policy and etc. • All region states have representation here at the 2011 Summer TRB/RAC Meeting, with the exception two

  5. Accomplishments/Goals/Activities • Southeastern Transportation Consortium (STC) Pooled Fund Activities - LTRC • Website is up and can be found with Google search • Created a link to database of participating states research projects • Pooled Fund extended for another 3 years • Annual meeting will be in October 2011 to focus on RFQ’s for regional synthesis studies • Pooled Fund Project developed by STC on high RAP content to be posted soon and need participation

  6. Goals and Activities • Region II is Excited to Host the 2013 Summer TRB/RAC Meeting • Possible locations include Savannah, Ga and Baton Rouge, La

  7. Region’s Retirements/Appointments • Gary Allen and Mike Perfater retired from the State of Virginia’s Technology and Innovation Research Center and Jose Gomez was appointed as the new director • Elisha Kehner appointed as Research Engineer for the AHTD
