Project Timeline • Upgrade Assessment October 2001 -Boss Corporation & O’Reilly & Associates • Request for Proposal January 2002 • Project began February 4, 2002 • Moved to new server, upgrade OS and database on April 19, 2002 • Went live on 11i on May 1, 2002

Project Challenges • Hardware had not been ordered • Needed to close one period on 11i prior to year-end • Accounting changes implemented with year-end • GEMMS was not upgrading to OPM
Test Environments • 10.7 on HPUX 11.0 • 10.7 on HPUX 11.0 and ORACLE 8.1.7.3 • Oracle Applications 11.5.5
Test – Test and More Test • Each environment had to be tested • Decided to upgrade OS and Database together
Status Meeting • Met weekly to discuss status and issues • Kept meetings to an hour or less • Issues requiring further discussion scheduled separately
Lessons Learned • Status Meetings critical to success of project • Attendance at status meetings is a priority
Future Plans • Gemms upgrading to OPM 11i • Maximo implementation w/ ORACLE invoicing • Implement purchasing • Web Reporting
