Adaptation Even though the population is dropping, Great White Sharks have many adaptations. They primarily use their sense of smell to find food. In the fall, some females migrate to warmer waters to give birth.
Food The great White Shark has many other animals to eat. Young Great White Sharks eat fish, rays, and other sharks. The adults eat pinnipeds, sea lions, seals, and sea turtles. They also eat carrion (dead animals), marine mammals, and other sharks.
Classification They look cool and are a fish, so read this paragraph! The top of their body is white. They can also be gray to blue gray. They are vertebrates and are cold blooded. They breath with gills. They give live birth to young called pups. Their skeletons are made of cartilage, not bone.
Habitat You can find Great White Sharks in many different areas of the world. They are found near the shore along most of the temperate coastlines around the world. They can wonder into bays and harbors. They also live in South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, California, the East Gulf Coast, Hawaii, Canada, Alaska and more.
