  4. Reading Log • Date, Title, Pages Read • Describe the current setting’s time and place in your book. Give specific examples of clues that helped you identify the setting. Do you think the current fits the events taking place? Give specific reasons to back up your answer.

  5. Eyes Past Print • “Lamb to the Slaughter” by Roald Dahl • As I am reading, you need to be highlighting or underlining examples ofCharacterization,Plot,Setting, andPoint-of-View. I will stop periodically to discuss the examples. • We will also discuss theThemewhen the story is completed, but be paying attention to anything that could be hinting at what the theme could possibly be.

  6. Lit CircleWorkshop • Hand out the LTTS graphic organizer and discuss the elements in each section. • Complete the graphic organizer with your Lit Circlefor LTTS. • If not finished by bell, it will be due next class period. • Also with your group, complete thePamphlet if you haven’t finished it yet.

  7. Ticket Out • On this day in 1980, John Lennon of The Beatles was shot and killed outside his apartment in New York. The Beatles are one of the greatest musical groups in history. In fact, John Lennon once famously said The Beatles were “more popular than Jesus”. In your opinion, what musician/band is the greatest of all time. Explain why.
