Communication Arts9th Grade December 13, 2011 Reminder…there should be NO CELL PHONE use during instructional time. Too many people are having their cell phones out during class. Don’t make me confiscate your phone. Keep them put away.
Bellringer • What are the 3 types of 3rd Person Point-of-View? What is the difference between them?
Reading workshop • 20 minutes
Reading Log • Date, Title, Pages Read • What point of view is your story told from? (1st, 2nd, 3rd) How do you know what point of view it is told from? Do you like the perspective your story is told from? Why or why not?
Mini Lesson • Review graphic organizer for “A Sound of Thunder” • For your Final, you will complete the Graphic Organizer AND write an essay over your selected story. • This will be done on Tue & Thur of next week as your Final Exam

Writing Workshop Step #1: Choose a story Step #2: Read the story Step #3: Create a poster that has ALL required elements from the scoring guide Step #4: Turn in the poster to me by the end of the hour on Thursday
