  3. The Titanic What technological problem was to blame for the sinking of the Titanic?

  4. 1. Material used Hull of the ship and the rivets: Reports that the materials used were weak and not of a high standard.

  5. 2. Manoeuvrability of the ship Due to the sub-standard rudder and speed that the ship was travelling at, the Titanic was unable to move out of the way of the ice-berg.

  6. 3. “Watertight” compartments These compartments were designed to be watertight, in fact they simply filled up with water and caused greater damage to the ship.
