  1. Origin of Music \ • The word “OMKAR” is the Pranava Nad. • It is the source of all energy and matter. • It is the SONG of God, so is the Origin of Music.

  3. Each and every Particle of the universe contains atom so the Vibration of atom is affecting directly the Particle of universe. • There are powerful Vibrations arising from human hearts as emotions & from the brain as thoughts.

  4. Musical Vibrations • All music is sound but all sound is not music. • All Vibrations which constitute the sounds of music are in a simple ratio.

  5. Effect of Good Music On Plant In the year 1950 Dr. T. C. N. Singh (H.O.D Botany) Annamalai University, performed an experiment on plants and gave a statement : “It has been proven beyond any shadow of doubt that harmonic sound waves affect the growth, flowering, fruiting & seed yields of Plants.”

  6. Effect of Good Music On Animal • A snake is charmed by the notes of been played by the snake charmer. • In many countries music is played during milking of cows to produce greater yields of milk.

Effect of Good Music On Human Music affects human on 3 levels • At the physical level – Relaxes and refreshes the body & promotes deep breathing. • At the mental level – Calms nerves & brings in quietness of the mind. • At the Spiritual level – Develops intuition & devotion. Releases the energy of love from within

Great composers of Indian classical music have attempted music therapy down the years • Thyagaraja brought a dead person back to life with Bilahari Rag. • Muthuswamy Dikshitar have written Navagraha Krithis to cure stomachache. • Miya Tansen sang Deepak Rag to light lamps and Raga Malhar have been used to bring down rains.

  9. It recognises the “Inner clock” of the human body and harmonises with the bio-rhythm. • All the 7 notes of music are made up of the 22 shrutis base on 22 main nerves of our body. • Most of the Ragas are composed for a particular time of day and mood of season.
