PowerPoint Rules • Every slide must have a graphic • Picture, clip art, drawing, etc • 7x7 • No more than 7 words per line • No more than 7 lines per slide • No paragraphs!! • We don’t need you to read your slide to us…we want to hear you talk!
Setting • When and where did the story take place? • Be descriptive! • Remember to just include a 7x7 description to remind you of what you are going to tell us • The PowerPoint is a reminder of the things you would like to say
This books is about…. • Be ready to give a short quick description of what your book is about. Talk to the class, don’t just read your slide. • Beginning • Middle • Don’t tell the end!! • Make sure to use short phrases that will help to guide you as present your book. • Try to keep it to 7words per line • No more than 7 lines per slide. • You must include a picture or graphic
Main Characters • Character’s name • Something interesting about the character • Short description of the character • Your favorite thing about this character • Your least favorite thing about this character • Remember to keep it short! • We want to hear YOU talk, not just hear you read your slide. • Use as many slides as you need to introduce the main characters.
