  2. PowerPoint Rules • Every slide must have a graphic • Picture, clip art, drawing, etc • 7x7 • No more than 7 words per line • No more than 7 lines per slide • No paragraphs!! • We don’t need you to read your slide to us…we want to hear you talk! 

  3. Setting • When and where did the story take place? • Be descriptive! • Remember to just include a 7x7 description to remind you of what you are going to tell us • The PowerPoint is a reminder of the things you would like to say

  4. This books is about…. • Be ready to give a short quick description of what your book is about. Talk to the class, don’t just read your slide. • Beginning • Middle • Don’t tell the end!!  • Make sure to use short phrases that will help to guide you as present your book. • Try to keep it to 7words per line • No more than 7 lines per slide. • You must include a picture or graphic

Main Characters • Character’s name • Something interesting about the character • Short description of the character • Your favorite thing about this character • Your least favorite thing about this character • Remember to keep it short! • We want to hear YOU talk, not just hear you read your slide. • Use as many slides as you need to introduce the main characters.

  6. The most interesting part… • Remember not to go above the 7x7 rule • Don’t just read your slide to us…explain in your own words the most interesting part.

  7. The part you disliked… • If there is something in the book you would change, list it here. • Tell us why! • How would you change it?

  8. Quote • Pick a quote from the book that made an impression on you. • Made you laugh • Made you think • Made you smile • Perhaps made you sad • Type the quote and give the page number

  9. Recommendation • Rate your book. • Would you recommend it to your best friend? • Why or why not. • Make sure to give reasons!! List a specific example from the text
