  2. The base jump is a type of skydiving, consists of jumping from a fixed object and not from an aircraft in flight (as is traditionally done). BASE The English term is a pun base (pronounced/Baseball/) and the acronym BASE, which refers to the four categories of fixed objects from which one can jump through this extreme sport.
